Book now for next year!!
At Salt Sessions Freediving, we are excited to be teaming up with Shrek from the Noobspearo podcast, to welcome you onto our spearfishing in Whitsundays Liveaboard trip in August 2027.
With air-conditioned rooms, spacious living and massive deck space available this is going to be a trip that you don't want to miss.
What You Can Expect
For six days and five nights, we will stay on the liveaboard yacht, sailing around the Outer Great Barrier Reef. When deciding on joining, remember that:
- We focus the spearfishing aspect of the trip on beginner - to intermediate level spearfishers, with an average diving depth of around 5 to 20m available. But we also have some more challenging depths and conditions for the more experienced spearfisher.
- This trip is zero ego and 200% froth!!
- Great close community vibes with filleting sessions and debriefs after every day's hunting session.
- Enjoy magical nights on the Outer reefs with great food and plenty of laughs!
- We also have a dedicated photographer on board to capture the special moments
- Great team of frothing guides and crew to help you get the most out of the adventure!
- Accommodation is backpacker style accommodation with bunk beds.
What Does Your Trip Include?
If you’re up for the challenge, your t will include:
- All accommodation.
- 4 days diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
- All meals provided.
- Dive weights provided.
Accommodation
We have a range of accommodation options aboard the yacht, from individual beds in shared rooms to private rooms with your own ensuite.
Important: The accommodation option you select when booking determines your sleeping arrangements and price. If you book a shared-room option, you’ll be sharing your room with other guests. If you want your own room, you’ll need to book one of the private Queen rooms.
Option 1: Single Bed in a Shared Room
We have 13 single beds available across the yacht.
This option gives you your own bed in a shared room, with other guests sleeping in the same room. It’s a great choice for solo travellers, mates travelling together or anyone keen to meet fellow spearos without paying for a private room.
You’ll still have access to the yacht’s shared living spaces, deck and facilities.
Option 2: Double Bed in a Shared Room
We have four double beds available.
These beds are intended for two people sharing one double bed. The price reflects the fact that you’ll be sharing your bed, and the room may also be shared with other guests.
This is a good option for couples, mates or budget-conscious travellers who are comfortable sharing a bed and a room with other people.
Please note: Booking a double bed does not mean you get a private room to yourself.
Option 3: Private Queen Room with Ensuite
For those who would prefer a little more privacy after a big day in the water, we have two private rooms, each with a Queen bed and its own ensuite bathroom.
These rooms are ideal for couples or anyone who would like their own private space to unwind.
The price for each private room covers a maximum of two people sharing the Queen bed. You’re booking the room itself, rather than paying per bed, so the room can be shared by one or two guests.
If you’re after a bit more comfort and privacy on your reef adventure, this is the option for you!
A quick accommodation summary:
-
Single bed: Your own bed in a shared room.
-
Double bed: One double bed shared by two people, with the room potentially shared with other guests.
-
Private Queen room: Your own private room with an ensuite, suitable for one or two people.
All accommodation options are aboard the same liveaboard yacht, so whichever you choose, you’ll be part of the same crew and adventure.
