Come join us for a 2.5hr fun freedive in Port Phillip Bay here in Melbourne. Exploring the magical waters around the southern parts of the bay.
We generally launch from Rye/Portsea and do a few drifts over the scallop beds giving people the opportunity to catch some of the most amazing seafood that is available right on our doorstep. ***Please note you will have to have a valid Victorian fishing license***
We also explore some of the local reefs where you can sea local marine life like spider crabs, weedy sea dragons, boarfish amongst many more creatures around Port Phillip Bay.
If you don't have your own equipment, you can arrange to hire freedive equipment.
Equipment that you will need:
- Mask & Snorkel
- 5mm two piece wetsuit with integrated hood
- Rubber weight belt & weights
- Gloves & socks
- Freedive fins
If you want to catch some scallops you will need:
- Valid Victorian Fishing License
- catch bag & float (to place scallops in)
- Container back at the car to transport your scallops back home
***In order to join a fun dive you will need to have completed a level 1 freedive course (or the PADI Basic Freedive course)***
